"The Shack"

"Mack has been married to Nan for just more than thirty-three year mostly happy years. He says she saved his life and paid a high price to do it. For some reason, beyond understanding, she seems to love him now more than ever, even though I get the sense that he hurt her something fierce in the early years. I suppose that since most of our hurts come through relationships, so do our healing, and I know that grace rarely makes sense for those looking in from the outside."

So here's the thing...I LOVE TO READ!!!! I can tell from a lot of blogs out there, quite a few of you also enjoy reading. I was thinking of starting a bookclub here or even on facebook since I officially go back on it Monday, April 12th(that was a huge sacrifice...not sure if I'll give that up for Lent again). Anyway, I don't want to presume that everyone would want to read the same book as I am reading so I'll just let you know what it is and leave it up to you if you want to.

I chose that excerpt from the book because it made me think of my marriage and how I love my husband even more now, after 18 years, than before. However, I was the one who came to our marriage with more internal baggage than him and yet with his love and the
love of the Savior, I was able to find grace, something a few people had a hard time seeing over the years. That grace gave me a chance to heal.

So for those of you who have read the book, including people who are not on my list of blog friends, let me know what you thought of it and the idea of having a book club.
