Card Sharks II

First of all, I want to thank my dear friend Becca for being a genius at fixing the problem. She is incredible and I just want to send her kudos for coming to the rescue. I think I would have just went on hiatus if she hadn't figured out what was wrong. So for those of you who haven't given up on me, here's what I have been trying to post:

One of the things I've come to enjoy is making cards. The only thing is, I'm just not good at coming up with my own ideas. I love to steal ideas. It's the only way to go. Anyway, I decided to throw a "stamping" party for me and my crafty friends. I was surrounded by the divas of card-making and of course the queen herself, Irene Hirtle. It was crazy, because we don't get to see Irene, she decided to do 3 card kits with us...what a woman! Needless to say, we had to catch on quickly. All-in-all, it was a very productive evening.
This was the first project that we did. Some did Halloween, I did thanksgiving.

As you can see the concentration was fierce. There was a lot of creative juices flowing amongst us.

This was our next project. It so happens that daisies are one of my favorite flowers, so I was thrilled to do this one.

I loved making this card. Irene really did us proud with her choices in kits. The funny thing was, I did this one upside down. You'll probably get a look at it on Kathy's site or facebook. It was good for a laugh. However, all was not lost, I managed to salvage it.

As you can see, it was time well-spent!.

Kailey was the youngest member of our card-making evening. However, she had other plans for grandma besides card-making.

Of course what's a party without food? We managed to work up an appetite with all that hard work, lol. I think Kathy was contemplating her bed while Karen was thinking, just a little bit more, please. Thank you ladies, Irene, Ann, Kristine, Doreen, Lis, Kathy, Karen and Denise for such a fun and enjoyable evening. You're the best!

Cute cards! Stampin' Up is really popular around here!! My mother-in-law let me borrow her stamps when I made Cam's baby book, but other than that, I'm not too scrapbook saavy!!
Fun chat today, as always!

Looks like quite the talented bunch you had around that table, Lesley! If I only had the patience to make nice cards like that...I'd rather just head out to the card shop :P Oh, and I'm officially drooling over those sweets...I have the biggest sweet tooth and cookies, cakes and pastries are definitely my weakness!
