Well, we have come to the end of an era in the Young-Fraser family. I use both names because
there are so many Fraser families in the stake. Our youngest daughter Raven, has just turned 8 on April 4th and was baptized on April 27th. She really wanted to have her baptism on her birthday but her grandparents were in Ontario and was schedule to arrive back home on April 24th. This is the last of our 6 children getting baptized. It was a bittersweet moment for us as parents. Getting this baptism off the ground took a bit of manuevering, but as you can see from the pictures, it went off without a hitch
We had the baptism on a Sunday, something I didn't do with the other children. I always thought with church being 3 hours long, I didn't like going to anything else on a Sunday. However because of the family dynamics, we didn't have a choice. Since our ward is finish service at 2:00, we had a family potluck at 3:00. The baptism was schedule for 5:00. I knew our ward would have eaten when they went home but our family travelling would be going to the baptism at supper hour. We had Texas-style chili with nachos, sour cream, cheese, corn bread and rolls. The kids who didn't like chili had jumbo-size hotdogs. It was some good eating!
We took many pictures that day, something we weren't able to do as much of with our other children. As technology get better and better, our abilities to keep track of milestones become easier and easier. The pictures I loved the most were of Raven and her dad all in white.

We had 37 people at our home for the potluck. Afterwards we headed off to the chapel for the baptism. We originally did not want to make an annoucement to the ward about Raven getting baptized because of the large number of family members but since I was in the primary presidency, I couldn't quite pull it off. I had ordered a cake that was big enough for 50-60
It's actually bigger than it looks. The traditional first cut with dad.
Off with the head! Emmanuel, Tiffani, Angus & Raven
Mothers & daughters singers. Kaelyn, Raven & Leeya, all cousins, all 8.
Kathy & Miss Georgia Nelson. Nanny Joan reading with Raven.
Savannah & Baby Isaiah Fraser. Raven & Elder Wark from Scotland.
Chelsea and William Fraser. A whole lotta children, mostly Frasers!
Aaaaaaaagh!!!!!! Cake anyone?

Raven looks so pretty in her white dress! Sounds like you all had a great day celebrating Raven's baptism.
I love that cake! What a special day for Raven! I still remember my baptism, my oldest brother baptized me, actually. He was about to leave on his mission, so he baptized me and my dad confirmed me.
Anyway, this morning's 3-way was a funny one! Sorry I had to run. You two be good without me..... :)
Thanks for sharing those pictures...it makes me miss my family so much. I loved see ethan and ella in there. Congrats again to raven.

You're awesome, and I'm so glad you have a man like Darren....isn't it great how the Lord blessed us with Nate & Darren because we both deserved men like that!!! That snow-cone story was the best!! Love ya!
