Well as most of you now know, this is my ??? attempt at blogging. Hopefully I'll get it right. I thought I'd start off with Easter since that was the last big event of the year so far. It is tradition in the Fraser household to have an annual egg hunt with the children. This year I had almost everything ready for the eggs and was just waiting upon my lovely husband to get the plastic eggs from the attic. I had mentioned it to him a month prior to the occasion and once a week leading up to the event. I kept getting, "I will, I will". Needless to say the night before the event Darren went up to the attic and began his search for the eggs. As time went by, I began to wonder if he had fallen asleep but no, I could still hear him rummaging around. After calling to him, he quietly came down from the attic empty-handed. He couldn't find the eggs. I tried not to get upset because I knew they had to be somewhere in the house. However my husband wasn't quite as intuitive to my slight mood change and suggested that perhaps I hadn't bought any plastic eggs. Did I already say that I tried not to get upset? Oh well! That statement did it. He quickly started hunting for those eggs as if his life depended upon it. He checked the basement, the shed, the attic(again) and all the closets in the house. The more he insisted that I hadn't bought any plastic eggs, the more determined I was, that I had. I had manage to get everything ready for the occasion and all he had to do was get the eggs. It looked as if this year, there would be no Easter egg hunt. I went to bed that night disappointed and Darren, I'm sure went to bed praying fervently. The next morning he awoke with the idea that the eggs were under our bed and alas! they were. With very little time remaining I managed to stuff all the eggs. Needless to say, all was forgotten in light of the kids' search for their loot. Darren had managed to hide some of them in some very good places. I think next year I'll get the plastic eggs first before I get the stash!
