Santa Baby!

" A grandmother is a mother who has a second chance."

I am now officially a GRANDMOTHER, lol!

Whether I like it or not, I have now joined an elite group of women that hold that title. Robbie Hayden Webber was born on December 21st at 11:12 pm. He weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce and is very beautiful...and tiny. He was named Robbie after Brandon's best friend who died of cancer. Although that's his first name, Hayden is the name he will be called. It was touch and go during the labor, when the baby's heartbeat dropped so fast, they had to perform an emergency C-section.

Savannah wasn't even completely sedated when they began the procedure. The doctor actually apologized to her because they knew it was going to be very uncomfortable. Mother and son are both doing well. Just so you know this beautiful baby has a father, lol. His name is Brandon and even though the path that led to this moment was not how we would have liked it, Hayden is still a gift from God.

Brandon is a wonderful young man who loves our daughter and has been with Savannah through the whole process. He was there when they broke the news of the pregnancy and he was there when Hayden was born. We don't know what the future holds but for now we are happy to have Brandon as a part of our family. Of course I have other pictures, most of which I'll post on facebook but this has got to be one of my favorite pictures:

I know I'm a bit bias these days but my honey is one "hot" grampa! He wasn't there when Hayden was born because he was pulling an all-nighter. He arrived home at 5:30am, tired but happy to know his little girl was doing well. He's going to be an amazing grandfather!

Kudos to my friend Becca for such a great title...smart girl!
