A Night of Pure Pleasure!

As most of you all know, life is crazy busy all the time and so any chance you get to indulge in some downtime, well, who am I to say no! Me and a few galfriends decided it was high time that we paid Ms Lis Drage a visit. You see, Lis has a craftroom, something of which most of us only dream about. Usually some of us have a closet, some boxes under the bed or a little corner in a room somewhere, but not Lis. Lis had the real deal and we experienced it full throttle.

How's this for a room? My little corner in the dining room would fit easily in this corner. In a perfect world, us crafters would have one of these.

Note the computer screen...it's bigger than my ancient TV at home. Lis is definitely on the ball!
This is the Cricut. for those of you who have never heard of it, well how do I describe this piece of, of...words fail me. You have to experience it yourself.

This next piece of wizardry is called the Cuttlebug. Kathy mastered it in no time. She even did most of my suff while I had a turn on the Cricut.

Our lovely hostess, Lis! What a most generous friend. Not only did she open her home to us, but she also allowed us peasants to use her gadgets and supplies as well. We all brought our own but didn't use it.

Not only was she generous with her supplies but she managed to get a couple of cards done, while showing us how everything work.

However, Lis was not the only one who was feeling creative. Monica got all her halloween cards.

As for Kathy and myself, we didn't actually make any cards. We just indulged in the gadgets. We did take home some booty though!

I even got some snowmen made for my christmas cards that I hope to make. Keyword being "hope", lol. Of course, what's a party, of any kind, without a spread? We had a little bit of everything. Some fresh fruits, cheese/crackers, some hummus and pita and the most decadent brownies I've ever tasted. Did I mention that we also had a bit of bubbly, a.k.a. sparkling fruit juice. Us mormon women sure know how to "do it up", lol.

Of course the grand finale for me was when Lis told me she had the full set of the "Twilight" series and that I could borrow them. Could this night get anymore delicious? I was in heaven. I had just finished the first book that morning and was desperate to find someone to take pity and loan them to me. Lis, I love you!

I'm a huge fan of Twilight, but I didn't like the rest of the books so much. Can't wait to hear what you think!
Those Cricut machines are amazing, I don't scrapbook, but I would still love one of those someday! That craft room is so great! Glad you guys had a fun time!

What a fun night! I would love a craft room - so cool.

Hope you're able to pull yourself away from those books! I couldn't put them down when I started one, I don't know what I would have done with three in my house at the same time!
